The Board of Directors of Community Living Burlington has overall responsibility to the membership of the Association for the governance and conduct of all the affairs of the Association, in accordance with the Association's constitution, letters patent and by-laws. The Board of Directors is also responsible for the development, maintenance and monitoring of all policies of the Association and all services provided by Community Living Burlington. The Board delegates the day-to-day administration and management of the Association to professional staff; however, the Board bears ultimate responsibility for the nature, extent and quality of the Association's services. The Board is also responsible for the provision of adequate financial resources for the Association. Members of Community Living Burlington are elected to serve as volunteers on the Board of Directors, and retire in rotation. Each member may serve two three-year terms. Regular meetings are held on a monthly basis.
