Community Living Burlington supports and promotes the utilization of volunteers as an integral link to the community and as part of its commitment to providing quality service for the individuals with a developmental disability that we support and their families.
Special Events & Fundraising Volunteer
Looking for committed and dedicated people to assist with annual fundraising events we are seeking people to assist our major events committing to being responsible for one specific goal for the event.
Our 3 major events include:
- Tribute Dinner
- Walk n’ Roll
- Charity Golf Tournament
Duties may include:
Obtaining prizes Sponsorships
Community Awareness/Marketing Selling Tickets
Community Living Burlington actively recruits volunteers to enhance personal relationships of the people we support who have a developmental disability.
ARC Volunteer
Assist individuals in the completion of contracts while ensuring quality control
Home Visitor
Volunteer one on one in hopes to creating a special friendship. Suggested outings include: shopping, movies, sporting events, bowling, out to dinner or café, going to Chapters or library.
Friendly Visitor
Volunteer with individuals one to one and in groups. This may include reading books, assisting with computer or reading skills. May assist trained employees while attending events or outings in the community such as; going to the movies, shopping, going to Friendship Club, FAN Club, or a sporting event.
Life Skills Volunteer
Volunteer duties may include providing support during activities such as swimming, culinary class, bowling, hiking, going to the mall, movies, assisting a trained employee in the snoezelen room.…teaching a new skill such as reading using a computer or an instrument.
