Description: A Job Coach will provide participants with personal growth, development and vocational skill building opportunities. The Job Coach will work closely with the Employment Services team and the Day Services team at Community Living Burlington. The Job Coach will support adults who have a developmental disability to maintain their skill level while learning new skills during the summer months. The focus of the program will include work experience/employment in various businesses and organizations to develop good work skills and habits. It will also provide opportunity to enhance social and life skills.
Preparation of a cover letter
Job search assistance
Approach potential employers on behalf of the person
Support the employer to design and implement an appropriate interview
Preparation with the person prior and during the interview
Development of a realistic job/work placement for the person based on their skills and abilities
Provide on site - one on one Job Coaching on their new job or work placement
Assistance in learning new routines, meeting employer expectations, and develop interpersonal relations
Gradual fading out of Job Coaching will occur as the person becomes independent and as natural supports are developed
Description: The Recreational Coordinator will work closely with the Day Services team at Community Living Burlington where we provide inclusive and meaningful recreational opportunities for people who have a developmental disability.
Responsibilities:Developing, delivering, and evaluating recreational programs services, and events that foster active and healthy living, and community engagement. .
