QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

University or College Degree/Diploma in the Human Services Field, such as Developmental Services Worker, Social Services Worker, Child and Youth Worker, Early Childhood Educator, Bachelor of Arts or Science in the Human Services.

  • Current First Aid/CPR Training (will provide if candidate does not have)
  • Current Non-violent Crisis Intervention (will provide if candidate does not have)
  • Valid Ontario Driver's License (G or G2) and Driver's Abstract
  • Proof of vaccination against Covid-19 (2 doses)
  • Clear Vulnerable Sector Police Record Check (recent within the last 6 months)
  • Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities

PART TIME POSITIONS

Part-time employees are scheduled to work a minimum of Sixteen to Twenty-Four (16-24) hours per week. Two weekend shifts must be worked on the weekend in a two week period. Part-time employees are required to work all recognized statutory holidays.

The starting rate of pay is $27.56 per hour for awake shifts and $21.04 per hour for sleep/awake shifts.

SUMMER STUDENT POSITIONS

Summer Student Developmental Service Workers are scheduled to work forty (40) hours per week and may be required to work, days, evenings and weekends.  Students may be placed at various locations throughout Burlington. 

Duration of employment is May 15 - September 1, 2023. 

Students will work in a cohesive team to assist with the care, safety and security of the people we support and the monitoring of their daily routine.

Summer Students must be between the ages of 18-30 years of age and be returning to school full-time in the fall.
